Which Airlines fly from anywhere in the D-R directly to the South-American continent (places like Buenos-Aires) without having to fly first to the U.S. to make a conection ?

Name the Airline, and it's departure city in the D-R.

Don't name Copa, as you always have to connect first in Panama-City Panama (which is in Central-America).

Thanks.

There are flights from Brazil (GOL), Colombia (Avianca) and Chile (LAN Chile) from Punta Cana. Not sure if all year round.

I looked at the list and these go to where they say, but not all are direct flights. I go to Buenos Aires a lot and Lan does not fly direct from the DR. So the list is good, but you need to check the connections, if any.

Probably because the airline definition of direct flight is a flight that goes from one point to another under the same flight number. This can include a flight that stops in one or more cities before the final destination, and even a change of planes. I believe the airline definition of what the OP is looking for is "non-stop flight" or something like that.

Good info. Did not know that LAN flew out of PUJ. The GF has been flying COPA on all trips to south america. We are thinking about a vacation to Machi Pichu in november and I can use my AA rewards miles to book it. Well the PUJ to Lima part any way.

You are right, I meant a "Non-stop flight" to the South-American continent.
The last thing I need is to fly north (like to Miami) when my destination is south like Buenos-Aires or thereabouts.

While still a bit out of the way COPA through panama doesn't require flying to MIA or having US visa.

LAN through LIMA looks like a good option but you need to fly out of PUJ. I have seen convoluted itineraries where if you combine airlines with taca, avianca etc you can get to BA or Sao Paulo.

I fly through MIA as I want the miles.

What kind of pricing are you seeing when you fly from the DR to Buenos Aires?

Good to know. I checked Lan once, but I guess if you don't put in Sunday you get connections.

Prices are always high. RT with Copa or Lan about $1200-1500 coach. Sometimes you can get a good deal in Business with Copa. Well worth flying business if you can. I took Lan once connecting in Santiago, Copa has better service. But now that it was pointed out that Sundays are non-stop from PUJ to EZE and back, I would fly Lan.
