WHERE is the best public bathroom in the DR ?

I have to say , inside the GRAN ALMIRANTE HOTEL in santiago , boy you
Could eat inside that bathroom CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN plus the doors in the toilet room go all the way down to the floor ( top privacy ) and they have all types of soaps and hand lotions plus it’s clea clean clean

On the way home from Santo Domingo, we always stop at Miguelina's for a coffee, some of her delicious baked goods, and the bathrooms! The stalls are tiny but the bathrooms are impeccably clean. And yes, there are a variety of soaps, lotions, and even mouthwash!

LOL . Fun little topic. I can tell you a bathroom not in the running.
The toilets adjacent to the fish market in Las Terrenes are hell on earth. DO NOT go in there .

The Gran Almirante , are indeed nice. The lobby restroom at El Ambassador, not the casino one. JW Marriott and a Special shout out to the throne at Don Pepe

I’m sure I can top that. Years ago we were on a south coast beach and I asked where the bathroom was. They pointed me to a small block building, about half the size of a typical garage. I thought “okay, not bad”. I opened the door, and laughed out loud. There was a hole in the floor in the middle of the room with low sloped sides (think ant hill). Nothing else!

I remember travelling around the island back in the seventies and struggling to find a bathroom, period. I have done my business in some of the most disgusting places on Earth.
Now almost every gas station has a completely acceptable restroom for both sexes, and many have a card on the wall showing how often it's cleaned.
