frndms said:Wow, you must take care. Sounds like one of those scenes shown on "Miami Vice" TV program show. Better make sure that the wife and child properly escorted here and there, otherwise the family may suffer from some stress, if the bad hats are getting more daring and the local police can't do much. Surely, you can find a better part of town to live in, say may be near the police station or something. Good luck.

Well, if we only know who the "they" are....cobraboy said:They really train them well in NYC, don't they?
What a piece of work! THEY . I guess you mean we in NYC training your scum to be criminals back in your country. OH, Pleussssssssssssssssse.cobraboy said:I have seen a large increase of crime in the last 3 years. They really train them well in NYC, don't they?
OH man ... Nals, I can make a opposite position based in fact on each of your paragraphs in your post. I don't have the time for that stuff man... Reminds me of the tread/post that I ignored, where the conclusion is 'don't have burglar bars.... '. It was long convoluted story about 4 neighbors and burglar bars.... and the reasoning was quite comically flawed.NALs said:In other words, if you are the only one with a little bit of money passing through an area filled with criminals, it's almost certain you will become a victim of crime. If, however, you are only one of many people with money passing through an area filled with criminals, the possibility that you will be a victim of crime decreases.-NALs
If I wanted I could have said what you said, however that is not what I am saying. Although, what YOU are saying via MY words is correct in itself.Chris said:OH man ... Good night Nals... we're doing well in our neighborhood. So, I guess we will be the victim of burglary soon. Problem is, we work together in our neighborhood, so, if there is a threat to us, the rest of the community will act, as we would act if we saw anything untoward. Nals's contention is that if you are rich, living amongst the rich, the chances or probability that you could be a victim of crime, decrease. The possiblity of crime towards you, is lower if you are rich, living amongst the rich, he contends.
I agree fully. The rich do afford personal and other guards you know. So, my dear fellow, I believe you are quite correct in your statement. Anyone for another Pink Gin!
OK. I get it. The Bad Guys that came from NY to the DR were not the successful criminals, but the unsuccessful ones-those that got caught and went to jail.Berzin said:NYC is NOT a training ground for dominican criminals. The ones that are deported after spending time in jail here were IN jail for robbery, assault, murder and drugs.
They came to this country specifically for the purpose of committing crime.
And they came here from the DR with the intention on becoming criminals if they were'nt already.
You know who I mean: "them".johne said:What a piece of work! THEY . I guess you mean we in NYC training your scum to be criminals back in your country. OH, Pleussssssssssssssssse.
So the majority of trash is returned to the DR from NYC--of course. Look at the numbers. We have 8 million people here with about 800 000 Dominicans. So doesnt it make sense that NY would return to the DR the greatest number of dirt bags?cobraboy said:You know who I mean: "them".
I'll claim partial responsibility for the FL cons shipped back to the DR.
Am I wrong to understand MOST-the vast majority-of "forced repatriated" Dominicans come from NYC and it's environs?
I dunno. For every 20 Yankee logo hats/T-Shirts/car window stickers I see, there is maybe one from someplace else.
I don't think I've ever seen a Buccaneer/Devil Ray or Chiefs/Royal logo anywhere.
Dude-I'm American living in Tampa. I travel to the DR 6-8 times a year for a week at a time, and have many friends there. But my observations are primarily through the eyes of folks who live there. Certainly they know more about the situation that I do.johne said:So the majority of trash is returned to the DR from NYC--of course. Look at the numbers. But this is what is wrong with your posting--you allude to NYC teaching this scum all their tricks (crime) and that we here in NYC should share in the responsibilty of your problem. The fact is that the percentage of Dominicans returned is so small that it could not be a contributing factor in the increase in your crime rate. Your increase is caused by internal factors-we wont go thru all of that right now as you now thats complex. But what is not complex is that there are a lot of hungry, disparate people in the DR right now and they resort to crime to feed their bellies and perhaps, I dont know, their habit.
So, concentrate on the problems in the DR and let us here in NYC continue to send back the trash that have NO rights here at all-having broken our laws and are returned when the law of immigration is broken.
BTW--we dont return Dominicans that are our citizens. You know that of course? Just checking. These dirt bags are not our citizens.
JOHN
I agree with all you just posted--thought you were coming at this from a different angle and was ready for combat.cobraboy said:Dude-I'm American living in Tampa. BTW-a young man from a middle-class family who shoots an 18 y.o. in the back for her cell phone-sold for 500 pesos-is NOT a "desperate person with a hungry belly". He's scum.
Much of NYC crime are also not desperate people with hungry bellies. It comes from fearless, anti-social elements looking for an easy way to make a living.
