Delta's upcoming expansion to Dominican Republic marks the fifth increase in service to the growing island since summer 2004 when Delta inaugurated its first flights between New York and Santo Domingo. With the winter 2006 schedule, Delta will offer seven daily departures between the United States and the Dominican Republic with daily nonstop service between Atlanta and New York-JFK and Santiago de Los Caballeros, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, in addition to new daily nonstop service between Atlanta and Puerto Plata (effective Dec. 15)(a).

For the last few weeks ATL-SDQ are pack...I had to flew to Punta Cana and then rent a car to the Capital.

AVIASTAR.........Nice Airport PUJ.

we need a 93% load factor to break even on those flights to the Dom Rep.
Hope we get a good load for the ATL-STI flights.

5 years ago we didn't have tourists from USA in DR, there were no charter flights, today more than 50% of all tourists in DR are from Canadaand USA, and US market is growing faster. After SEP 11 americans started to look for new close destinations, and now almost all of them say: Damn, why we didn't know before that DR is like this, we've spend holidays in Mexico, Bahamas, Jamaica, but it is nothing compared to P Cana.

In the future more US airlines will fly to DR, nore regular flights will come, more new routes. PUJ, SAMANA and POP will have many american regular flights.
