im happy to say that im snakes 4th cousin

i wonder how many more cousins we may have here

I'm astonished at the number of DNA matches Mr AE has on Ancestry and Gedmatch. Almost 20 more this past week.  540+ total.  We have no idea who any of them are, except his niece.

Hey guys, if you PM your email I can share my 23andme profile to see if we're related.

Also, Alterego don't trust 23andme with the middle eastern ancestry since they don't use that many middle eastern references population often time the middle eastern/north African will be marked as European (specifically Italian) as this is the closest genetic group to some MENA people. For example, in 23andme I am around 2% middle eastern. However, these are my results with a site that uses many more sample populations (note: this is not another test, these results are based of my 23andme "Raw data"):

^^ Those results seem to be the norm for Dominicans in 23Andme. I share results with one Hipo's nephews and his results are almost identical to mine.

He didn't test with 23andMe, we used Ancestry.Com. But I did upload his raw data to Gedmatch, and will to FamilyTreeDNA today. Are you with any of those? Oh, and funny you mention Hipo. We were doing some research on Mr. AE's paternal family, and it looks like he's a relative. :)

^^ Ohh sorry, I thought he tested with 23Andme. How is he related to Hipo (Via which family)? I am also related to him, I mean almost everyone from Gurabo is related one way or another.

I think i have a gedmatch profile which I have not open in a while.

I'd have to go back and double check, but it was through a Hipolito Mejia Olivo I think. Or Olivo Mejia.

I'll PM you his Gedmatch kit #, you can do a 1-1 match.

How much you paid for DNATribes?

I thought the biggest difference between 23andme and DNATribes is that the analysis of the first one goes back to 500 years (which is convenient for New World people since that's when the European and African flows into the continent started) while the second one goes back 1,000 years (in other words, the second one picks up much older immigration that is much more relevant to populations currently living in Europe or Africa).

Maybe I'm confusing DNATribes with another genome company?

By the way, NakedSnake is related to my mom. lol
