He actually was caught and outted by informer/snitch who was saving his own skin..

I can’t help wondering if there are deslindes ...... these are nice beachfront properties, with my luck I’d buy one and some General would show up and say it’s his.

Oh shrimp. I think I know him. He used to be the captain of boeing 707 Dominicana aviacion. I used to fly that route from jfk to puerto plata. I was even invited to sit in the cockpit cabin in the 80's when security measures were not so strict.
He does own a few planes in DR and even flies helicopter. All along I thought it was his son who got caught but now that I see his pictures, It seems like it is him who is caught and jailed in Miami. He spoke perfect english and lived in Santo Domingo. This man is in aviation business for decades.
