As long as you have "buscones" and other weasels trying to make money off these players, a lifetime ban will do nothing. Time to go after the handlers. Those are the guys who should be banned for life.

It has to be turned into a crime in the DR for something like that to happen, unless all MLB are banned from doing dealings with prospects send in by these guys 100%. That's how to shut them for good. Turn them into the sh*t version of King Midas... Everything they touch will turn to s....

No it doesn't. It just has to be a violation of MLB rules. It isn't that difficult to have these buscones and other handlers to have to be registered with the league, and if a particular player under their supervision gets popped, then a one-strike rule for the handlers and trainers will go a long way. La Mano Dura is the only thing these people understand. Time to fumigate these characters-they've done enough damage and have free reign for far too long. Enough is enough.

One thing I do realize is that some Dominicans cannot be told how to behave. They need to be stopped with harsh penalties that can only be imposed by MLB, as we all know the Dominican criminal justice system is an international laughing stock. Once these peripheral characters realize what they can lose by actually losing it and not just being warned, the others will learn. But only the hard way. Es la unica manera cuando uno esta bregando con brutos arogantes que piensan que son ellos que mandan.

NOT. Banned from Hall of Fame, not playing.

Pete Rose could not even enter a ML ballpark. Now they have eased up a bit with him, but he was retired when he was banned. If not, he could not play anyway.

1) The agents, if pushing a player to use steroids, need to be penalized, held accountable, you know. *Too many principals caught doping, agent gets banned.

2.) If a doper is not banned, that is not fair to the guy who would take his place in The Show.

3.) Deterrence works. "And those that remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil in the midst of thee. And thine eyes shall not pity; life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot."
Deuteronomy 19:20-21.
