i have a question. if a dominican man and women marry in dominican, move to spain and divorce in spain, are they still married in dominican untill they bring paperwork to prove they divorced in spain?

if a Dominican man and a Dominican woman( or any other nationality) get married in the Dominican Republic then moved to Spain, got divorced in Spain, would they still be married in the Dominican Republic until they bring paperwork to prove they divorced in Spain?
Honey they would considered married anywhere in the world until they can prove they are divorced and have the paperwork.
But you can wait to see what Mr. Guzman has to say.

sorry let me clarify. If a dominican man marries ONE woman who is from spain, they marry in the dominican and then move to spain.(clear?) Then, in Spain they do the paperwork and they get divorced. The woman stays in spain, the man moves back to the dominican republic. Will he be classified as still being married in the dominican republic because the divorce procedure happened in spain? meaning,,,,,,does the need to prove he divorced in spain in order to not be classified as still married in the dominican?
A divorce is a divorce, does not matter where the divorce takes place. As long as the paperwork is in order, and you're legally divorced somewhere, you won't be married somewhere else.
He needs to have the papers to prove that he is divorced in order to remarry. Does he have copies of the divorce papers???
his ex has the papers in spain. she wont send them to him,,,,,,she is manipulating him with them. he did say he needs the paperwork to file in DR in order to remarry. So i guess that paperwork has to prove to the DR that he did indeed get divorced in spain?
untill the paperwork is in DR, he cannot remarry? unless he were to go back to spain and marry there?

He can request (likely in writing ) another set of original documents. He can do it himself or have a lawyer request it on his behalf. Then he can PROVE he is actually divorced.
And just to add a word of caution - you only have his word that he is actually divorced - he has no proof......

If there is a divorce it is more than likely registered in a civil registry in Spain.

usually both parties involved in divorce get papers!!!! but I guess your DDD is DD......................thats why ! duh!!! get a grip on reality
he has a copy of the papers! but his copy is in spain. his ex has his copy. he is getting her to send it to him. if she doesnt he will get another copy as apparently he has access to get a copy through a lawyer if he really needed it!
