That's not a purely Dominican trait. This is happening in the US and Europe as well and therefore the DR shouldn't be singled out.

Of course this is not purely Dominican. While I can't speak for the US this is not such a simple case in Europe....

The line from K West's song Goldigger "18 year, they got you for 18 years" comes to mind.

I take great care of my children, but then I'm not a Dominican.
To attempt to insult me,buy making a comment about how I am raising my children, speaks VOLUMES about you!
You,MUST be a Dominican, and just surmise that I,like way to many Dominican "Papi's",think more about a "Bien Fria" than their kids???

I don't share "Chips" ideas on most things, but I would NEVER question his love for, and dedication to, his children!
Just because you don't like someone, whom you have never met,and know nothiing about, gives you no right to
conclude that they are an unfit parent.
That said, would you now kindly,"Go Phuck Yourself"????????

Well unfortunately I do not consider someone who screws 25 US hookers in the DR and comes home to his wife a responsible father, what if you bring home a disease and kill your childrens mother? Or some cueros boyfriend murders you and leaves your children fatherless.. I've read your posts and there's always 2 sides.

I just rethought this post and in the case your wife has passed away, I sincerely apologize and retract my statement about you being an irresponsible father.

My wife is a Lesbian,so that's not my problem!
I'm 65,nobody lives forever.
Those $25 US hookers are taken out of Whore Houses, the rate for "Street Whores" is much much less!
"Thrier ALL GOOD"!

Thanks for your concern about my health!

PS, my wife is only 30 years old,so her health is good,BUT,I hope she dies before I do!
Dominican men know that their girlfriends, and wives are selling their bodies.
As long as they bring home the "John's Money" they could care less!

Economics or lifestyle doesn't change the Dominican approach to elders living-in with us!

It's a matter of culture, embedded for generations in our country. You can see a 60+ year old man still calling his elderly mother "Mommy" and father "Papi" unlike in places like the states or elsewhere.

i stand corrected. PICHARDO refeers to " elders living with us".i always thought it was grown men still living with their mothers, instead of going out and getting their own digs.

Dominicans respect and love their elders. Taking care of them isn't a chore and inconvenient burden like in the "civilized" First World.

really! i see that respect every day, with young teenage boys using the foulest language, and describing sexual acts in colmados, in the presence of 60 year old matrons.

I just bought a house with a two bedroom apartment in the walkout basement. Very nice house, very nice neighbourhood. I rent the top to my niece and husband - very responsible people, and my moms favorite Grand-daughter. Asked my parents to move in rent free - Mom - great I ready to move. Dad - nope, I'm not going to accept charity from anyone and I don't like moving. Both my parents have Old age pensions, company pensions, and Canada Pensions so money is not an issue, but in my Dad's mind he would be giving up some independence.
As far as Dominicans, my wife gives money to half a dozen older Dominicans whose familes do nothing for them, even the kids in the states. I realize this is not the norm but not all Dominicans look after their old family members.

should i send your medal by FedEx, or is regular parcel post ok?

Who gives a sh## what you think? Worry about yourself and leave others to worry about themselves. You have the stones to knock a guy who is putting someone elses child through college? A guy who put his life on the line for his country? Did you ever serve either of your countries? How many kids have you raised? There is nothing wrong with a guy going out and having fun IF he takes care of business at home. Youre a wet behind the ears kid. Frankly if I was your age with all the money you say you have I would only be using a computer to edit my home pornos.
You claim you are a Dominican and a guy screwing around bothers u? Tell your bs to someone else.

What's " your " problem. Feeling guilty for not sharing your good fortune?

no problem, actually. just letting you know that someone was impressed by your information of the houses you bought, and built. since you posted it more than once, i wanted you to know that it was not a case of us overlooking it. most of us just do not care. what else have you bought, lately? my good fortune cannot be shared with you...you need basic schooling, first.

I bought the house in Kamloops British Columbia. The house I built is in Jarabacoa. Currently contructing a small building with a motorcycle shop( not motos) in the bottom and three apartments upstairs. More building projects are in the future. My schooling is just fine. My good fortune is to still have my health and a good wife.

Peace be with you on this beautiful day and may the sweetness of the wind blow your bitterness away. My mother'in'law just made me a nice cup of coffee and prepared a freshly sliced mango. My life is good.
