Audi DR will replace for free the air bags of the Audi models and years shown below at there Santo Domingo maintenance center.

If you have an Audi, call the number with the VIN number and they will tell you if you qualify for the free air bag exchange.

I don't know what this is about, maybe a recall?

Toyota just announced the same for older models with the dangerous Takata Airbags. Maybe same thing for Audi?

These recalls, excluding Tesla, are primarily related to Takata car airbags having faulty inflators and were issued for most major automotive car makers beginning in the early 2000's. The airbags would either not inflate at all, or would explode causing death or serious injury.

Some companies issued voluntary recalls and others were government mandates.

There are literally thousands of potential disasters circulating in the DR with Toyota having the lions share.

FWIW, people can check to see if their car is under recall........at least those distributed in the US........with many exported to the DR, by going to the following website and putting in your Vehicle Identiication Number;

It's odd that my Blazer shows up on the VIN check website, but comes back as invalid on the recalls website

A4 1996. We are talking about old cars. How many would there be in the DR?

As to Audi’s, probably very few. It is a brand not well received in the DR.

As to Toyota, Honda and other desired brands, thousands upon thousands that have likely never been successfully recalled.

A total of about 5,581 between cars and SUVs according to the DGII (2022). The actual amount at the moment could be slightly higher.

I didnt know Audi made SUV’s in 1996.
They only mark vehicle makes made in 2018 and back, not individual years. From 2018 to the present they indentify individual years. In any case, Audi SUV's are 45% of all Audi's in Dominican streets and 95% of Audi cars are from 2018 and back.
