I have a Cuñado in Mass who has a body shop who buys salvaged cars fixes them and then he sends them here.....He just sent me a pic last week of his latest buy....2023 Chevy Equinox lest than 1000 miles LT.....bought it for 4 grand.
He will fix it and send it down here to be resold...always CarfaxView attachment 8744

Ley 671-02 bans the importation of vehicles with a salvage title.

What is not banned are salvage reconstructed vehicles with a branded title that have been registered for at least one year and then imported into the DR.

Caveat Emptor.

I'd love to see a picture after it's fixed.
I've dealt with body shops here on a few occasions and there has never been a time where I didn't see a vehicle I imagined could ever be repaired.
Some of those shops are very well-equipped with paint booths, frame-aligning equipment, sets of hydraulic rams, and paintless dent repair equipment.
