Which is why I discount the "official" documents, etc., presented by the alleged bank...

Two can play the fraud game.

So you're saying a government agency is lying and perjuring themselves about an international bank, even taking into account the international repercussions such a move could entail?

You're way smarter than that CB...

Lying comes easily when seeking political power.

I don't know if it's lies or not. I just have no faith in gubmint credibility. I believe none of them.

Ivanhoe Ng Corti?as, Bank Superintendent, who came forward with the defense of the First Lady, is not without blemish, having been jailed at the end of Hipolito Mej?a's first administration, for the misuse of over 1400 million pesos. He was sprung from Najayo jail during Leonel Fern?ndez' second term of office in 2004, when his PLD party associate Jos? Manuel Peguero bacame District Attorney.

Lying and not telling the entire truth are not the same thing.

Maybe she doesn't have a direct relationship with the bank. Maybe it's through intermediaries or through companies that she indirectly owns accounts at the bank. Maybe it's not at that sucersale?

But common mate, a bank responding to a question via a facebook account? what did they say?

"Status Update: LOL, OMG, just got shakira tickets. ps - margarita is innocent, ROTFL copter!".

The rule of politics is to believe nothing at all, all else take with extreme doubts and what's left at the end to be totally half truths...

Banks lie when they need to lie in order to protect themselves. They do so everywhere in the world, the more restricted and lawful the country the better they are at hiding it.

I just want to see some mud that sticks for once!

If things are as we believed they are in the DR with corruption and all, why do they need to fabricate stuff when there should be loads to pick from by the shovel...

Now we hear from Marcos about pesos CDs of 3 million for Mama, but what's that supposed to be? I think I can flip my sofa's cojines and spot old CD's worth three times as much without looking too hard...

One million pesos is hardly much to even speak about, let alone in the media.

Dig deeper and give us some stuff with handles to grab our attention!!!!

Santo Domingo.- The lawyer and TV journalist Marcos Martinez again accused ruling PLD party vice presidential candidate and First lady Margarita Cede?o, this time showing documents that her Office allegedly wrote a RD$17.0 million check to an employee without justification.

Martinez, who faces forgery charges in the two week long row, said if convicted, doesn’t fear going to jail.
His original accusation was that the First lady has 67 million euros in a Danish bank.

He told reporters that what newspaper El Caribe published Saturday forms part of a campaign to try to “soften” him and try to incriminate opposition PRD party presidential candidate Hip?lito Mej?a.

In the press conference held in a park in Santiago, dozens of mid lever PRD leaders voiced support for Martinez and against Cede?o, although that organization has denied any personal of political links.

I hope the first lady goes all the way in prosecuting this barbarazo and sets the standars so that the next time our so called journalists and TV commentators come out with vague accusations, they better have legal documents and base to make it stand in court!

Fulanito is stealing from the public funds! Prove it in court! Then lets send them to jail!
