I certainly do not have the definitive answer. If you can't fly out of here to somewhere with a better support system then it would seem your only alternative is to get out of your apt. and into the home of someone who who has a comfy room to rent and will agree to provide the personal support you require for a monthly fee you can afford. If you can come up with a plan that works for you please let us know how we can help you achieve it.
I agree moving to a room in a home would be the ideal situation. I have tried finding one over the last year and have not been able to. If anybody knows of a room I can rent please let me know. I appreciate all of you trying to help.

Maybe someone will know of a person that would be willing to provide a room and care to you. Something within your budget.

$3000 USD
If you're getting 3000$ a month then the problem is you, maybe you're too grumpy and nobody wants to deal with you. If you offered 500$ (25.000 pesos) a month you shouldn't have a problem finding a nice, reliable older lady to look after you and do all the chores. The other 2500 is more than enough for rent and food for one person.

lol..... shots fired.

For 1.5k to 2k a month, you could absolutely rent a room in a beautiful house with a garden, with 24h round the clock attention. Food and beverages included. Unless the OP needs a medical specialist, that is.

We came to see you the last time you posted. We spoke to the embassy about you. They were very familiar with you and your situation. They provided you with options for assisted living and although you started the process, you decided to abandon it because some things about it did not suit you. As I remember, prior to us coming, you said that your help was abusing you and you fired them. But when we arrived, the help was there - two individuals. And they indicated some lack of cooperation on your part. You make good money. Please make a posting for different living arrangements with people who will assist you. It should be easy where you live and with your income.

LOL no shots here, just stating the obvious, and I think Lindsey's comment confirms it too. With 3000$ USD this guy shouldn't have any problems managing his living arrangements in DR.

Hello folks,
The last time this poster started complaining, I went with Lindsay to see if we could help in some way. What we found was not what we were expecting. We were given a litany of issues that WL was suffering from, including, waist high grass in the yard, infestations of ants, burned out monitor, help that quit, vandals trying to break in and a host of other complaints. We arrived to find her living in a tidy gated complex in Puerto Plata. The grass was cut short, and we arrived at the door to hear WL loudly berating the 2 staff members, who we had been told, had stolen from her and quit the day before. There were a few ants on the bed where she insists on eating, even though her staff wants to have her eat in the dining area. The monitor was working fine. I inspected the perimeter of the apartment, no sign of vandals trying to enter. Every suggestion was met with great negativity. This lady has more than enough resources to live comfortably. SHE IS A COMPLETE LIAR. This thread should be shut down. It's up to the moderators.

I think FF1 deserves an apology .....sometimes one needs to hear the truth
Everybody's so easily offended nowadays and quick to judge, but what are you gonna do 🤷‍♂️. I just feel sorry for the poor Dominicans who have to deal with this lady and take all the abuse, berating and humiliation because they depend on the money she gives them 😥.

In all fairness to keepcoming, she was not a mod the first time the OP started a thread, so she’s not familiar with the scenario. If you read the original thread, I, too, had a similar reaction to initial negativity. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a sad situation, one that we DR1ers tried to help with well over a year ago. As a result of those efforts, because of what transpired, I closed the original thread.

I’m now closing this one.
