Importing Amber to Canada

Am considering importing for manufacture amber from the D.R. to Canada. Can anyone tell me the duty and taxes involved in this. Also am looking for good sources for excellent quality amber with fossils at a fair price. Also someone to polish the stones to Canadian spec sizes?

The last I knew, it was VERY illegal to remover Amber containing even vegetation, let alone fossils

I see it containing fossils on many internet web site for purchase coming out of the DR. I would think if it was illegal it may not be so prevelent on the net. I will let you know after I contact customs here in my country to inquire. Thanks
