in praise of Grapefruits

I asked for pomelo my first trip to RD (using my pocket dictionary) and got blank stares. Don't remember how long it took, but eventually I learned toranja and life was good.

I used to eat grapefruit with sugar also. Now as a substitute I put a teaspoon of pure honey on them. I put them in the microwave for a few seconds. Try the honey. It is healthier and taste much better.

I can't see why anyone would want to sweeten them more with sugar or honey right now….

I am not as fortunate as you to have my grapefruits as sweet as my name where I live.

Feedback on the grapefruit juice + rum question….
….not a winner in my books.
Strange as rum goes so well with most fruit juices: chinola being the stand-out combination for me.
looks like GJ needs a nice vodka to really work

I'm "on the pill" as well. No grapefruit. Vodka on the other hand....

the ones in the little fruit and veg shop near the super super are possibly the juiciest i have ever tasted….just ate 3 on the hoof
