in praise of Saman trees

There are plenty of saman trees here on the north coast in open pastures right off the main highway. I haven't noticed any of them blooming though(?).

I saw them today on a section of hwy between Canta La Rana and Sabaneta. Very pretty. Most of them were about 300-400 yards off the hwy so, unless you are specifically looking, the flowers don't stand out like on the Royal Poincianas. And on that section of hwy, there's not much time for looking around and taking your eyes off the road!

for sure....please don't die looking for flowers! :)
But I am a cyclist and have time to enjoy the nature!
