Re: If you brought back a Cuban Cigar, what happen

There are unpublished direct flights for diplomats etc and there are direct charter flights for approved groups, eg: physicians going to a medical conference, educational tours, etc. If you go on one of those you can bring back some things for personal use, including cigars. I was recently invited to attend a conference in Cuba but the price was way too much for my pocketbook. Almost $4,000.00 for a one week trip. Forget that, I can enjoy Santo Domingo and bus up to Sosua and puff all the Cuban and Dominican cigars I want for a whole lot less than that.

That's what I'm saying. I'm in the mid-west. How would I get to Cuba? Does anyone experience doing this? Any info will be helpful. I don't think going through Canada would be economical.

1$US= 1,40$CDN It could be a good bargain for you specially if you catch a charter flight from Canada to Cuba. no???

Traveling to Cuba - this is what I found

from Ascot Services

.....thousands of Americans visit Cuba every year despite what the
US government has to say about it. US citizens enter Cuba via Mexico,
the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. For Americans, since the Cuban
government knows you are not to suppose to be there, they do not stamp
your passport (they stamp a tourist card you buy on the way in, which
you
can place in the trash when you leave). Now you know how it is
possible
to be there, without anyone knowing that you went (Me go to Cuba? Heck
no, I just went to the Bahamas for two weeks).
