Unfortunately today and tonight we can expect more of the same humidity, rain, rain and more rain as we have seen the past couple of days! Today brings us a little breezier winds. The good thing is.....this will pass and clear up, hopefully within the next 24 hours. Hang tight...we'll start to dry out!

Today and tonight we can expect more of the same condtions as we have seen the past couple of days. Hopefully we'll see some intermittent times of sun as we did yesterday. Sorry for not posting this morning, was not feeling well. This afternoon, we prepared the house for TS Alpha. Since we are right on the ocean, we always get the effects of storm surges, no matter what type of system is out there.

Tonight I'll presume we can expect some rain from this system and in looking at the wind swath module, we can expect tropical depression to tropical storm force winds late tonight/very early Sunday morning.

Currently, it is 77°F/25°C the winds are out of the W @ 10mph/16kph (gusts to 14mph).

As this system gets closer and we feel the effects, I'll keep you posted. Please also check out Chris' posts specifically on TS Alpha.

Yesterday, we had a mixed day of sun and clouds with a few rain showers. Last night we had some heavy rain in areas due to TS Alpha which made landfall near Barahona this morning. TS Alpha is expected to dump 4 to 8 inches of rain over the Dominican Republic with higher amounts up to 12 inches in the mountains. The ocean's storm surge here is higher than normal and it's pretty choppy out there. Not a day to be in the ocean.
