Does anyone know a good starting place to look for luggage repair in SD?
Broken collapsing handle (part broke off/missing).

A good starting place? I would think any shoe repair location would be able to assist in the matter.
The problem is that my partner doesn't know any shoe repair spots, and we only have one more day to get it fixed. I guess it will have to wait until after the trip.Any luck yet?

Here is what it looks like, if the upload works.Only one day to get it fixed? What piece broke off? Does the handle retract? Got a pic? Maybe a quick home remedy can make the luggage useable.
With some coaxing I can get the handle to retract almost all the way. I'm thinking of we can get some rope we can make a makeshift handle so the wheels can be used.Only one day to get it fixed? I would be in agreement with attempting to remove the retractable hand assembly, and attaching a rope. This is the RD, and nobody would pass you a second glance, at least here, I can not speak upon your arrival destination. Other than that, again removing the retractable hand assembly, you may have to use the old fashioned carry method, such as with a briefcase.
