1. Visiting El Limon waterfalls is all part of the "Motocaribe" motorcycle tour...they were absolutely fu&*k*ing amazing--it included a horseback ride to the top of the falls and then a stunning, magical mystery tour of a hike down to the base of the falls where we swam around trying to catch fish with our teeth:

To give you an idea how good these Suzuki Dl 650 V-Strom's are, i took one down the Atlantic Coastal highway thru 46 of the most beautiful sweeping curves on this planet and covered 15km in 8:24. Now to give you an idea how fantastic that time is, i've video taped the same run on my Honda CBR 1000RR and covered the same distance in only 1 minute faster--hitting 250km on my Honda in the last 1 mile stretch of highway. if we were to take that last 1 mile stretch away, i think the Suzuki DL 650 V-Strom would only be 30 seconds slower over the whole 15km...and that says something about the amazing pep of a V-Twin 650 with 350cc less and about 70HP less as well. The Suzuki's are one mean machine! I'm sold!

Frank, I ridden with many, many top motorcyclists the last 5 years, including some serious motorcycle racers.

I can honestly say your skill level is equal to higher than anyone I've ridden with. The way you handle a bike is an inspiration and skill I aspire to.

It was fantastic to ride with you and I look forward to many, many more days on the road with you and the hitchhikers...

Listen, the pleasure was all mine. Seriously, I can honestly say that i got to both see and experience so many wonderful things that i had never seen, and yet had driven past hundreds and hundreds of times over the years without ever once stopping and asking this:"what is down this particular dirt road on the left?" "Where exactly do these waterfalls lead too?" "Where does this trial lead too?" "What is the food like in this particular restaurant on the beach?" "What's around this particular corner?"

The tour that Robert Cooper does is hands down, unequivocally, the most amazing and stunning tour on this island. it's an absolute must! It's so well organized, so incredibly planned, so well thought through, that, everything has been anticipated over and over, and well beforehand. Everything from the food to the hotels, from the route to the stops, from the superbly prepped, nearly new Suzuki DL 650 V-Strom--that's always at your disposal (it follows the tour around on the back of a trailer) should anything go wrong--to the fantastic, massive, E-350 Built Tough Ford van that is always close behind with provisions--food, drink, and first aid.

I mean, really, who is this well organized? this incredibly well prepared for anything and everything should anything go wrong? I mean, this is nothing short of first class service being provided here. This is amazing that we have this kind of first class tour being provided here in this country. And honestly, i don't think many people here realize what an amazing tour this is. And i'm not saying this because i'm a motorcycle enthusiast, i'm saying this as someone who both knows and understands the richness and beauty of this island. I partly grew up here, went to high school here, I travel this island weekly and document it on video and in pictures...and I have done this for the last 30 years. Now, here i am flabbergasted, perplexed, and confused that in as little as four days, Robert took me on a Magical Mystery Tour and showed me things i had never seen or experienced before. That says a lot.

I would strongly recommend to anyone with motorcycle experience to not walk, but run up to Jarabacoa as fast as you can and book a tour with Robert. It's embarrassing that i've been here nearly my whole entire life and it took someone--not from here--to open my eyes to an amazing, kaleidoscopic adventure that makes you feel like your traveling Back to the Future--not in a Delorean--but a Suzuki DL650 V-Strom.

I would sum up this motorcycle adventure as this: It's Ken Kesey & the Merry Pranksters traveling around in the bus "Further" meets Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, & Jack Nicholson on the motorcycle adventure "Easy Rider"...only Robert's bikes are much more comfortable, much more advanced, and much more dependable.

I give the tour two big Thumbs Up!

Love Frank

Great photos Frank12. I'm glad that you and Cobraboy aka Robert aka Motocaribe met up; I figured that he has a class act but he seldom posts about it. It sounds like you all had a great time riding and sharing. I'm guessing that those that did not want to ride were/could follow along in the support van and still share the experience.

When my wife and I go to the Paso Fino horse shows in Jarabaco, we go a couple of days before so we can explore. Renting a couple of broken down tourist horses or walking around to see, learn and experience. It is one of our favorite areas to visit and much of what one should see is easy to get to. I can't wait to trailer our horses up and stay a few days.

Thanks guys.
