It sucks, but I guess I can see why... it's an island after all. You can only let so many foreigners in for residency. Is there a wait list I should get on now???
(j/k....... sort of)

The resolution has been revoked. Consulates worldwide are processing all types of visas again, but now the visa authorization has to be signed by the Minister himself.

This means it could take longer than the usual 2 weeks for visas to be authorized.

I guess I don't follow....does this pertain to a pending cr1 for my wife who resides in the DR waiting to come to the states?

This referred only to foreigners trying to apply for visas to visit the Dominican Republic.

This does not affect legal residents. Only foreigners trying to apply for a residency permit for the first time.

Hi Guys,
so everything back to normal now? In the next months I will ask a Residency Visa in my Consulate. Anyone have some others news about it?
Thanks a lot
