This is such a sad event. Every leo knows that it is a very easy thing to kill police officers. You call and we deliver. Even the officers many posters on this site make fun of for their perceived lack of education and training. Even in Canada it happens. An officer attends a set up break and enter call to conduct an investigation and take a report. Because of the nature of the call only 1 officer attends. While he is sitting at the kitchen table taking notes he is stabbed to death just because he is a police officer. This was someone I know and admired and he did not stand a chance. This is why I despise the one trick ponies who make everything to do with the police about race and guns.

I'm not an emotional guy but this is truly a sad story. The more I read about her the more sad and tragic it is. What a lady !

Its real Sad Day how people just disregard someone life.. may she rest in peace.. I know the area real well its a shame... i said this a millions times crime is every where... yes more petty crime in Rd but I still choose to live Rd because there are many nice decent folks here and its a layback style of living... not like the rat race in NYC.

For the first time in the history of this agency, The Policia Nacional of the Dominican Republic will be sending a delegation of officers to New York City for the funeral of Police Officer Miosotis Familia. Viewing is tomorrow, Monday, with the funeral on Tuesday.
