Presidente no bargain, really
i am still surprised at the price of Presidente cervezas. even in the grocery or liquor stores, they were about 25 pesos in August. this was very close to $1 CDN. the beer is good but not exceptional. i am buying beer in Canada for $1 CDN per bottle, about the same quality.
looking at the price of rum, labour, taxes etc... i would guess that if a Canadian brewery can sell and make money at $1 per bottle, then the Presidente people must be making a killing. seems to be expsensive compared to a bottle of rum.
is it the cost of ingredients or what?
