I would guess over 90%..............I come into the Customs area arriving and go to the Dominican line. If there are more than 4 people there it is a lot. Other line hundreds.............

I guess in the stats it would be less than 90 % because of all the North Coast cruise ships, sometimes 3 a day... but yes, only daytrip. For sure 90% that stays longer than a week. When i came down here 2001 it was around 65 % of flights that went to POP, Now what, 5-8%? Sad, since I like the North Coast.

Cruise ship passengers are only here for a few hours. Tourists coming into PUJ stay a lot longer than a few hours.....................

Certainly, excluding cruises, PUJ has the bulk of the tourist arrivals
Not as many as you might think though.

55+/-% of the total air passenger traffic, excluding cruise ship arrivals, is at PUJ, up through and including September.

Punta Cana/Bávaro gets around 75% of all tourists in the DR. Almost all of them arrived via the Punta Cana International Airport. That airport depends on tourists above 90% of passengers. I doubt it is over 80% of tourists.

Cruise ship passengers technically aren't true tourists. A real tourist is someone that spends at least one night in a place where they don't live. Cruise ship passengers spend every night in the ship.

No, because as you can see for SDQ the amount of pax for residets including dominicanas and foreigners residents its almost 500,000 and for PUJ arround 50,000
I said only that at PUJ OVER 80% of the arrivals are Tourists. Nothing to do with SDQ. Comprendi?

No one said they were not tourists. But they spend an average of about $20 going into town for 4 hours. Tourists coming to PC spend 100 times that...............

Thats a technical only because cruise ship passengers do not sleep and are in transit, but they move a lot money.
