Due to all the great reviews about El Candil in Boca Chica, I have decided to stay there in Spetember. I am thinking of a two bedroom apartment there (me and a friend are going) and just wondering if this means two distinct bedrooms as well as a living room, or simply means one bedroom and the other guy bunks in the living room. Any info helpful.

I am pretty certain you get 2 seperate bedrooms....as well as a living room.
I have always stayed in a 1BR ...and that has a bedroom, living room (w/kitchenette) and balcony...so it would stand to reason that you and your friend would have your own rooms.
I just looked at the web site and do not see any floor layouts...just a couple of photos.

Switch verizon.net.do for codetel.net.do e-mail addresses or use both as they are changing and who knows how long the codetel thing will work.
what time are you calling at? Durring the day you will get Maria at night you will get Sandy. Just ask to speak to Guissepi or Petteri (they speak very good english).
I know that in the past they ARE a bit slow returning emails. THe slow response is part of the layed back attitude there. At one point they were having problems recieving emails.
Im sure if you call durring the early morning...perhaps early evening both will be around (the sometimes go to playa caribe in the afternoon to walk the dog).
Good luck! (it is worth the small inconvience of waiting). Make sure that you let them know that you want to be picked up at the airport too!

lol ricardo! I think its cool that all the guys have the hots for maria....she is so reserved and conservative....not your typical boca chica working girl.
Im gonna have to meet up with you on my next trip down there and have a presidente with you.
oh..and to the original poster who doesnt speak spanish....just look up how to say "may i speak to petteri or guiseppi...i only speak english".....plus a few other phrases that you might think handy.
I do get by on my rudimentary espanol when i am there...but when talking on the phone (while here in the states) i have found it handy to have some key phrases handy.
Trust me...when you talk to either petteri & G. you will relax. They are really good and trustworthy business men.....but read around here...and you will realize you are traveling to a place that has a totaly different way of doing business.
Breathe deap....and keep calling till you talk to petteri. If they arent there...ask when they will be there. You really SHOULD learn at least some basic spanish tho if you are planning on staying in a non-AI.
