I was there last night.... like NY, there were no other customers.

It certainly is a great venue.....I hope it survives.
The beach is fantastic..... safe enough for children

The only way they can survive is to attract locals to the business. It sounds like due to their location that this will be difficult.

The place was gone for almost a year before the French gave it a go. They had minimal success. Now Wendy and her partners are in the saddle.

The original place was built on the Patrick's reputation built over more than a decade. When he passed, the reputation passed. In business he is called a "Key Man."

It may take a while for folks to start coming back. Certainly there aren't enough "locals" during the week to make it happen.

Reputations take time to be built, one customer at a time, spreading word of mouth.

Patrick had an arrangement with Bahia Principe as well. Cuests from BP could eat at Patrick's, so had that income as well. I have been there regularly during the day, nobody, just the two of us. That was when Margot abd Michel had the Place.

We've been there maybe 4-5 times a year for 9 years. Never a huge crowd, occasionally no one there, but usually several others lounging around.

Didn't he do pig roasts on Sundays?

We spoke with Wendy today.

Patrick's Belgian partners are the ones responsible for the re-opening.

Their menu has expanded and prices lowered.

I hope DR1ers will frequent this wonderful place.
