The government will be intervening Calle Monción to make it entirely pedestrian and Calle del Sol with a part will be entirely pedestrian.

There are rumors of two new vehicular bridges over the Yaque del Norte River.

I was told by a business owner on Calle Del Sol the government has plans to expand the side walks on both sides of the street and have the traffic flowing in the opposite direction coming down the hill from the monument. I've no idea why they would do that and when asked, neither did he.

They are going to eliminate the street parking to give priority to pedestrians. New trees will also be added and the vehicular street itself will have a type of cobblestone. It will be similar to what has been done in several streets in old PP and in the Colonial Zone in SD.

If they do that to C De Sol. than Av. Las Carreras will be the only west to east flow for the traffic that passes The Monumento. One way to increase the traffic jam problem that already exist on that main street.
