bob

I also would like to know the location of Parado 77.

Which clubs have live entertainment that starts early enough to have a good time before midnight?

I have a few gringos coming in for a week and staying in colonial zona area.

They asked me a question that i did not have an answer too.

Is there any topless or full nude strip shows bars in SD specifically in Colonial area? I am not referring to worlking girl hangout bars, but more tastefully strip shows or even topless only.

Doll House on the Malecon, not in the colonial zone, forget the name of the other one, but corner of santome and the malecon, this is the only one in colonial zone that I am aware of.

El Monumento del Son may not be doing Son any longer. It is now called Rumba Tropical - it's on Ave Charles de Gaulle in Sabana Perdida. Pity because it was a fantastic experience. There was another Son place nearby, maybe that's still going.

Then there's a small bar called El Sart?n on Calle Hostos in the Colonial Zone which caters for an older clientele and plays classic salsa, merengue and son.

You could try El Secreto Musical in Calle Baltazar de los Reyes in Villa Consuelo - probably need to go with someone who's been there before.

I also heard that there was a Son night with live music on Thursdays at Mauna Loa (the casino/entertainment venue in La Feria near the Migraci?n building) but a friend tried going a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't on.

There's a place on Lincoln Ave. in the same plaza where Trio Cafe used to be, it's called Mi Taverna, some of the coldest Presidentes I've had in years. Right across the street from La Francesa on Lincoln Ave.
