That's amazing the amount of new construction in that area, yesterday I drove from Av. Estrella Sadhala taking Carretera Padre Las Casas all the way to Carretera Jacagua Gurabo then I took a right turn onto Carretera Luperón. I am panic with all recidenciales and commercial buildings in this area.
That's why you can't drive-in this area during week days

One of the getting worst problems in Santiago has to do that the city needs new avenues and a few "avenues" need to be widened (like the one that goes to Gurabo/Pedro García, but good luch widening a road that is basically built all the way on both sides of the road.
Santiago is worst than the Capital when it comes to wide avenues. There is no such thing as Churchill, Luperon, 27 de Febrero, Kennedy avenues and etc in the Capital. All avenues in Santiago are either avenues in name only, avenues with multiple lanes but not median and avenues with a very thin median. Plus they are built on both side making an expansion un feasible.
