This will seem like a strange request but can anyone translate me these sentences from english into Spanish please............

1) This room is for - Filling up your glasses, unfortunately we have no Brugal or Presidente!

2) This room is for - Kelvin and Mick to show us their merengue moves. Don't laugh at Simon please!

3) This room is for - People who need a rest from dancing or people who simply want to drink and watch The Simpsons!

4) Please wash your hands!

I am having a party soon and want to stick these signs up in Spanish in the rooms of my house

Thanks :bunny:

ummmm

Hey,

There are a few sites that can translate that for you. Just do a search for free translators. :classic:

I don't know if thats quite the response you were looking for but it only takes a few seconds and you can cut and paste.

:bunny:

P.S. Good luck with your party.

Thanks for the suggestion

:) I don't trust myself to get it right whereas many people who are members on here are bi-lingual so i will give it a bit longer before i go down that path, thanks for the suggestion though!

Translation

Here are the translations,

1) This room is for - Filling up your glasses, unfortunately we have no Brugal or Presidente!

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Llenar los vasos, lamentablemente no tenemos Brugal ni Presidente.

or

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Las Bebidas (For the drinks), lamentablemente no tenemos Brugal ni Presidente. (This one makes more sense in spanish, is more for a party than the previous one)

2) This room is for - Kelvin and Mick to show us their merengue moves. Don't laugh at Simon please!

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Kelvin y Mick que nos ense?aran sus pasos de merengue. Por favor no se r?an de Simon!

3) This room is for - People who need a rest from dancing or people who simply want to drink and watch The Simpsons!

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Personas que necistan un descanso del baile o aquellas que simplemente desean beber y ver a Los Simpsons.

4) Please wash your hands!

- Por favor lavate las manos!

I hope you're party to be a success.

Johy ;)

Some minor grammar corrections:

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Personas que necistan un descanso del baile o aquellas que simplemente desean beber y ver a Los Simpsons.

Should be:

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Personas que necesiten descansar del baile u aquellas Personas que simplemente deseen tomar y ver a Los Simpsons.

- Por favor lavate las manos!

Should read:

- Por favor lavese las manos!

More corrections:

Should be:

- Esta habitaci?n es para: Personas que necesiten descansar del baile u aquellas Personas que simplemente deseen tomar y ver a Los Simpsons.

- the "u" should be "o" as the first person wrote. The grammar rule is:

the "u" is used before two words with "o" that follow each other. For example: "de una manera o otra" would be "de una manera u otra". (correction by Lesley D)

AND

Should read:

- Por favor lavese las manos is also incorrect.

It should be:

-Por favor lavense las manos. (this is the correct plural form). (correction by Lesley D)
