What is the latest with the beach ? Have they evicted any of the vendors yet ?
No one evicted yet. They have been slowly building on the Charamicos end of the beach, from behind the last few "establishments" and running right up to the highway and over to the first entrance road to Charamicos. it appears that there will be new units ready for occupancy, before any beach vendors are displaced.

I would have put one plaza in the middle. That is all that is needed.
Then demolish all the illegal structures. One and done.

As for the existing vendors, they might finally be realizing they are not part of the plan.

I did mention that tear gas would be used, but not just the small amount used so far.
A plaza in the middle might be nice, but if I recall correctly, the old owner of the land betweern the beach and the highway donated 2 plots of land to the government for plazas, one at each end of the beach.

One plaza on each end did seem to be the plan some time in the next millennia The first plaza is larger than I thought it would be. Not sure if they will ever get around to the second one.The government could put a smaller plaza on public land if they were so inclined.

I also heard from a very reliable source yet still second hand that "owners"of the shacks on the beach have been offered 150,000 pesos to get lost. Makes no sense to me but I heard it from one of the "owners" and he is a stand up guy.

Something funky with the image URL's. Tried to hit direct and they 404🤷‍♂️.

Good to hear they're starting work (even if it's early) on the second plaza. Will swing by tomorrow and check it out.
How about now, I lowered the resolution.
