Good Morning y’all ;

To all Santiagueros:

Just wanted to ask some MISC. questions regarding LA TRINITARIA neighborhood in Santiago

1- Are the TORRES/RESIDENCIAL BUILDINlGs located on the República de Argentina avenue consider to be on/part of the LA TRINITARIA neighborhood ?

2- Is la Trinitaria the most “upscale” neighborhood in santiago ?

3- Is LA TRINITARIA the home of the “Santiago presidencial palace” ?

4-is it true that every 15 minutes there are three PN PATRULLAs going around on circles and patrolling thru out the neighborhood ?

5- is it true that there NO business around in or on la trinitaria

6- what will be the closest IF any bad barrio nearest to LA TRINITARIA ? IF any

7- finally is the LA TRINITARIA city park safe to walk at night ?

Thanks

If you want to ask serious questions, instead of idle chatter at kindergarden level, you might be interested in the Trinitarian gangs of the DR and NYC. THis is one of the oldest latin gangs and its' presence is felt worldwide. And instead of ALWAYS SEEKING INFORMATION HERE why not engage you pea brain in interesting matters to share with the members of DR1. I recommend that you join the NYC and DR chapters of this lovely group and report back to us. Your esteem will rise 10 fold here. Give it a shot.

Rey, being that your mother is/was in Santiago (per your previous threads) are you not familiar with Santiago?

Rey, you have several previous threads asking about Santiago, maybe go back and review those threads for information. You would be surprised with the information you can find in older threads. Thank you

Thanks ; duly noted

However this particular question is very specific about a neighborhood itself ; although I agree there it’s a lot of info on previous threads about santiago here

I have driven through this area numerous times, going to the hospital there and using it as a shortcut. Traffic can be horrible, and the lower end is quite commercial and not high end. The park there is nice and there are a lot of trees throughout the area. The area behind the casino is quiet and I think probably low crime due to difficult access.

1: yes
2: La Trinitaria is definitely one of the best neighborhood in Santiago, but not the best. In my opinion that would be Los Cerros de Gurabo.
3: no
4: i doubt every 15min, but regular patrol for sure
5: no
6: good question when considering buying - no major barrios in the immediate proximity
7: i d say no

Keep writing Rey. After the knee jerk reactions by a few that have time to attack you rather than just move on to the next thread, I think you got some decent answers to your questions. Farmer

1. Yes

2. It's not the "most". It used to be, actually because it was originally big lot luxury homes (American style) from the 70s and 80s. Much upscale areas are Gurabo, Pontezuela, La Zurza, Villa María, these days.

3. No

4. In most neighborhoods, yes. But not such like every 15 minutes.

5. False

6. Just the Downtown (and barely no one who lives in el Centro cross to La Trinitaria, which is, literally, a hill in the middle of Santiago)

7. Yes, but barely anyone walks parks at night. Except in areas like the park at Villa Olga. They usually do early morning and the rest of the day.

Consider that the whole area is changing due to the constructions of 3-4 skyscrapers, 2-3 condohotels, the upcoming Santiago Mall (aka the Agora Cibao mall) and the new Hilton at the east side of the neighborhood.
