No women except the ones you bring. The restaurant is just that. Nice place for cheap dates. I ll tell you that. The nightclub/dance floor next door is good for live music. No ladies of the night. Most of the hoodrats can get in, but you can recognize them from the street. The poom-poom shorts and too much makeup. Besides, the really classless women tend to hang out on the northern side of the monument where Avenida Las Carreras begins, and where the food trucks are and there are a bunch of dudes showing off their sound systems in their tiny cars and jepetas. I think Barajanda is nice if you want to drink cheap beer and listen to loud music. Get a date before you go there and you can dance all night.
Or you can try El Tablon around the corner across the street on the southern side of the Monument. The place has nice ambiance, if its not too cold. Food is ok, more pricey than it should be but the waiters try hard. And unlike La Brasa, you eat on real tables and chairs, not plastic lawn furniture. I d recommend WIND restaurant also, real nice, cant say too much about the food though. The woman I went with looked like a short Dominican female Hermann Muenster with big boobs to me, so I couldnt concentrate.

The restaurant is called Puerto del Sol and not Wind. Wind is the satellite company that provides tv service.

Yea, you re right, but the thing is the WIND sign is bigger than anything that says their name. You can walk past the place 3 times and not know if the name is WIND or El Tablon.

Tribeca??? avoid the place....classy Santiagueras/os do not go there anymore, try Soho Rooftop(brand new) at Bellaterra mall, Dubai club (Plaza Zona Rosa), Camus(they've had some problems lately tough with their security, big fights, but the ambience is great), and Moma (Plaza Internacional)...that's pretty much it...ohhhh, almost forgot about the also brand new Sahara (in front of the Metro Bus station, next to plaza Palermo), but i've heard that Sahara has been full of dominicanyorks with the worst manners, so u might want to wait till xmas vaca's are over to go there....;)

I like to start my night at h20. It is a nice outdoor plaza and has cheap drinks. Then I go to the bars listed above. The nice thing is that all the bars are pretty much located in the same area.

Just moved to Santiago on Tuesday and had my first real night out last night. H2O was really cool, cool blend of music. Then went to Soho, great house music and many beautiful girls. Ended at an after hours club (at a casino?) not sure the name but it was crazy after 3am. Soho was by far the coolest of the two.

I can't believe this thread is still going on. The whole damn city of Santiago is a pick up place. Just dress well, learn a little Spanish, have a smidgen of self confidence. For the challenged amongst us out there, you have Pasions and Kelvin carwash.

The after hours club is called Vintage and is located at Hotel/Casino Matum. It gets really good, when all the other clubs close.

And if you are running late and your hook is still empty stop by Amaray this a little Mobil trailer bar/restaurant located right behind La braza. My friend Ray stay open over night, he serve one of the best Sandwich de pierna and the coldest presidente in town.
lot of DR1ers have been there with me.

all in all a terrific thread - choc full of informative posts and very entertaining to boot.

Haven't been to RD in nearly four months and am experiencing major withdrawals but I'm going back to santiago by the end of the month so I'm late doing research.

RSG,
My experience taught me the poor girl drains the average guy more then a rich girl. The poor girls are the ones who order things they can't afford in daily life. The poor girl is always hungry, even at 4am in the morning. She will always order shrimps, an expensive drink (mind you, often they drink more than an average Bowery street drunk). The barrio girls will never have a bikini to go to the beach and will insist you buy them one. They always have a problem on daily basis and the solution is always money and more money. They will drain you dry and then cheat with the first barrio tigre who shows up on her door-step. I can go on and on on barrio chick tricks. To me, they are all trouble.

"My experience"? I thought AZB had never stooped so low as to date poor barrio rats? lol
