I did not like Hawaii at all. I'm pretty much with Hllywoods thoughts. I can see it being nice if you live there and get to know the local towns, but for tourism, I'd prefer the DR all the way. I do not want to go on vacation and see McDonald's, Denny's, Starbuck's or any other franchise. Aside from that, you will see the worst of American tourists there(except maybe Vegas), and I say that as an American myself.
