I noticed that if you live in Las Terrenas, there is now a wait list if you want to order Starlink.

Goes to show how crappy the current internet service being provided by Claro, Telenord, etc

William Webster might be sucking up all the bandwidth on that end of DR

Just have it delivered to Nagua then change the User Address to your casa.... Done

There are two addresses - service address which you should choose at the available service area and delivery address which can be anywhere, including waitlist areas. Had exactly same problem, and it was discussed in StarLink thread on this forum. Once it arrives to your home just change the service address. Many folks did that. I can confirm it worked for me 5 days ago when I ordered and received Starlink kit for someone else.

Hi, i tried to order a Starlink for use in Las Terrenas on the starlink.com website.

I filled in the service adres. That is ok.
Then the shipping adres, is automatically added into the Dominican Republic and can not be changed.
How do I resolve that???

Or someone knows where to buy a starlink here in DR?

Hmmmmm. It was a genuine question. I don’t personally know anyone who has it. Debating the possibility of getting it for our campo house.
You should investigate limits of data. I was told by Delancer that they throddle the speed after data caps which if you stream a lot might be easily reached

And you don’t think Delancer has a dog in this fight? That’s why I’m asking people who actually have it already. Where I live there are zero alternatives aside from the Claro or Altice thingy.

i told @chico bill this and it's based on starlink page, look at their pricing:

standard 2900 pesos, priority 1TB (means after 1TB of volume transferred, your data gets less priority) is 10036 pesos
2TB is 19760 pesos 6TB 59020 pesos

look at it from other angle: 1TB consumed in 1 month of constant use of 3.1Mbps.

I was addressing the post Bred made that Starlink just dropped their prices. Starlink from the source is going to be cheaper than what many local vendors are asking.

I'd still like to know where all of those vendors are getting their equipment.
