that article was fascinating. When someone earlier mentioned Toronto, I assumed they meant the Toronto in the DR....lol! That was one crazy storm. Thanks for posting the article, Lambada!

Speaking of weather, we'll be on the north coast (Santiago, POP, Sosua and Cabarete) in early November (my third trip this year!). How is the weather then? Mosquitos?

Chances are it'll be the same as every November: cooler & less humidity than September/early October, in other words, a pleasant temperature. It is still hurricane season in November so the possibility exists although historically most have been in September. Mosquitos are not seasonal so yes they will still be here. If you want a more specific forecast I'll be a while hunting my crystal ball...........even longer if I need to locate Toronto, DR, first .
