Especially if they are bio degradable.

Like this when they are thrown on the street, in the county side , or rivers they may degrade after a certain time.
Then we will have to work on eco friendly garbage, acids, batteries, paints and poisons dumped into once pristine rivers.

The reality is hat Dominicans are not at all environmentally conscious, neither are they in the treatment of animals.

Spaying of dogs and cats just about non-existent, packs of dogs rom the streets at night in the barrios.
Wild-stock runs free in the barrios cows, burros, goats pigs that got away with Haitian owners chasing them.

The other night 3 am two horses were running through the barrio, with a bunch of guys on foot chasing them..... zero success.

Of course I do not live in the elevated area colonial of S.D.

Now there is a business idea for Geovanny,

Environmental clean up and public education.
Control of live stock allowed to run free.
Confiscate, slaughter, turn into meat products.

This is the what googles woke AI recommends.
Except for #1 the following 5 ideas will not generate enough income to survive in my opionion.

Will be interesting what an AI feeded with conservative input and/or loosen safety rules will output (for example: watching men servive, arms dealership, casino, security camera installation, employment abroad and visa service, medical services, drug store, orthopedic aids).

Those AI suggestions sounds like the ideas the younger crowd of digital nomads talk about on social media. You didn’t include cryptocurrency. It’s lightweight stuff where you can work under the radar. Doesn’t generate much income and it’s probably typically an overstayer not bothering to get residency, register and get an individual RNC tax number or set up a Dominican company.

Honestly, anything to do with logistics would probably be a good bet. There is a shortage of Warehousing/storage space.

I opened a warehouse in a free zone in 2004 (the first!) and now there are many. Best part is they generate good money, and cargo doesn't complain.

I hadn't thought about it. Logistics is always a must and we became aware of this reality after the pandemic came. Thank you, JD Jones.

Hopefully, at some time in the near future, the government, private sector and civil society will devote more time on developing public policies aimed at influencing our general society towards more responsible driving habits while reducing deaths from motor vehicle crashes. Thank you for raising this major concern!
Yeah that's not going to happen.
And considering the typical moto rider has an IQ just higher than burnt toast I doubt and amount of education is going to help

Thank you for your response. It is important to be clear about reasons/motives in order to get the best responses to your business inquiry. As someone with such a background as yours, I am sure you can understand why some may find your posts/threads a bit suspicious/suspect. In this day in age where anything is possible on social media, such as AI, hacking, etc...many choose to be leery when it comes to business ventures, more so in the DR. There are many members here on DR1 who have been successful with business ventures in the DR, and some who have not.
I just waiting for him to offer several million dollars if you have a DR bank account. Please give me the account number. Hahaha.

I am hoping that the OP joins in on discussions with other threads. Given his extensive background, contacts, political knowledge, it would be great to hear some of his opinions. Share some of his knowledge. Many have little interest in business opportunities in the DR due to past experiences and firsthand knowledge of businesses failing. Given the OP's social circle/background/contacts (based on credentials he posted), I am sure he has a wealth of knowledge right there for business opportunities.

That is if his resume is correct.

So based on his responses I thought this guy was not for real. I did my homework and apparently, he is.

Thus, we have an educated professional engaging our community. Welcome, Geovanny.

Please forgive us if we were all suspicious. It is just that your pattern of responses
are not typical for this forum. We are all a bit more cut and dry, getting to the point.

A little of your kindness and understanding is very welcome. Perhaps we could use more of it ourselves. But to overdue it with those you do not know makes us suspicious.

Forgive me for my honesty. I would love to have someone like you as a member here. With your experience and education you do not need to be so polite with us- or as my kids would say- suck up.

We welcome you as you are.

Agree Lindsey, hopefully this is really truly Mr. Geovanny Vicente Romero. He is very knowledgeable, educated and is rather quite well known (as are his parents). I think the suspicions are/were warranted due to the nature of his posts. He clearly has the ability to obtain excellent information on business opportunities so one would naturally be suspicious of the posts. Looking for a "partner" for business opportunities/property management is strange coming from someone with his credentials. He would be a very welcome member of DR1. I am looking forward to him participating in other threads.

One suggestion is senior retirements residences with firsts world country services. Can be for autonomous, semi-autonomous or for seniors with loss of autonomy.

Can be associate with private clinics. Private Clinics here seem to be doing well.

IMO real-estate is saturated here. Health care for foreigners is a growing market and there is no Seniors residences that I know of.

Of course this is for foreigners as in Dominican culture Seniors live with their family.

Also in same content, Assistance to foreigners that come here for medical procedures, like transportation, translation and services during recovery......ect.

Does it matter if it is him or not. Most posters are anonymous on this forum anyway. I looked at the social media profile. Looks like political content mostly. Would be interesting to read comments about the DR election. And also I saw international politics. So the current Haiti crisis would be interesting. But now I don’t want to go off topic. Apparently according to one moderator I do that a lot.
