My favourite books to read are by Mary Higgins Clark if you like reading mystery books. I've read every single book she's written and I just started reading her most recent. I can't put the book down I read her books in three days it's crazy lol.

mariposa said:I love reading anything that catches my eye Lesley and that keeps me interested either in Spanish or English. I loved reading "En el tiempo de las Mariposas" by Julia Alvarez, I read the English and Spanish versions, I have to say I liked the Spanish better, ya sabes uno se puede expresar mas!

This week:
Reading now, "En el nombre de Salom?" by Julia Alvarez (in Spanish)
Past few weeks:
*Just finished "Da Vinci Code" (sooo goood) (in English)
* "Soledad" by Angie Cruz (a up and coming Dominican-American writer from Washington Height!!!! YEAH! Go girl!)
* Read an organizational theory book last week that was v. good. (for professional growth)
Last year this time (sound like an Alcohol Anonymous....person):
* Read "The Feast of the Goat" (Fiesta del Chivo) by Mario Varga Llosa v. good (read it in English, should read in spanish)
Want to read "Drown" by Junot Diaz...read it in Spanish but the flavor was lost in translation
Fiesta Mama said:One of my favorite books is "The Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay. So moving, at times it made me cry! (There is a movie based on this book but definitely read the book first).
P.S. Does anyone know where you can buy those Spanish books in and around Toronto? Maybe I can order them on the internet?
