Wirld2Fly just asked authorization to fly MAD-SDQ from Dec18 till Jan 18, they already fly to PUJ.

So in December there will be Iberia, Air Europa and World2Fly on that route. That should help keep prices down. I'm surprised how Iberia manages to fill two planes daily and has done right through most of the pandemic. Clearly a lot of traffic on that route.

World2Fly only has 2 planes though, I can imagine huge delays when there is a tech problem.

World2Fly only has 2 planes though, I can imagine huge delays when there is a tech problem.
Iberia is taking advantage that some borders in Europe are still closed like Italy but italian can travel with stop in other european airports.

Will see how they will manage adding a new destination

Yes agreed, British Airways still haven't resumed from Gatwick to Punta Cana which was up to 4 fpw before the pandemic, and Air France is only operating 2 fpw Paris to Punta Cana - previously they operated daily to Punta Cana and additional triangular flights Paris - Santo Domingo - Punta Cana. So there are a lot of flights still yet to reappear from Europe.
