Updated Funds Accounting

I am posting a link to the funds accounting Excel spreadsheet.

Right now, due to some very generous US donors (some not part of DR1) we have enough for the next four months. Those who have been donating monthly can continue to do so since even with the four months ahead, we still need to cover fourteen months more to complete the treatment regimen.

Thank You Letters/Tax Deductible Recipts

Now that I am back in the DR, all donations made on or after July 1, 2013 have now been acknowledged and US tax deductible letters/receipts are on their way to the donors. They are being mailed from the DR, for those for whom I have a physical address, and were scanned and emailed for those for whom I have only an email address.

Thank you everyone, we continue to advance in this project.

Update on Donations and Purchases

I purchased Isaida's medicine last week. As soon as I can get it scanned, I will post the receipt. In the meantime,
I updated the Funds Accounting Sheet to reflect donations received on or before 10/24/2013 and the deduction for her October medication.

I have funds for four months, with some people having promised monthly payments. If those payments arrive, we have covered all but $25 of the monthly cost of Isaida's medicine.

I am trying to get a photo. Each time Isaida has been to my office, she has had hair or something on her head. That makes getting an accurate photo difficult. Hopefully this coming Tuesday will be the charm.

Clarification

I have been told that my update post is not clear.

I have slightly over a thousand dollars on hand, along with some pesos. That will pay for four months of Isaida's medicine, with a little left over.

I have a core group of donors who have pledged to donate monthly. The total of those pledges is $225. That means that in any given month I will need no more than an additional $25 to have the funds for Isaida's medicine for that month.

This is. of course, as long as the pledges are paid each month.

The prescription is for three years. Isaida has now had 17 months of the medication. That means that May of 2015 would be the last month that Isaida would need the medicine. As I said, I have enough on hand to purchase the next four months, so I'll need donors to cover the additional 15 months.

Isaida and her mom were in my office yesterday. Isaida didn't have her hair piled on top of her head, so I took a new photo.

She is growing, but very thin. Her mother said that she is hungry all the time now because of the growth hormone.

Absolutely!

She was less than 3 feet tall when Caritas first came to me to ask for help in getting her the growth hormone.

She needs another year and a half of medication, with it she'll be over five feet which is a bit short, but normal for an adult female.
