I am considering taking a night flight arriving SDQ @ 2 am. Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in SDQ or
nearby to stay for the night (and probably another night, too)?? That means checking in @ 3am...

I don't believe there would be a problem checking into any hotel at that hour. Even the smaller hotels have a night watchie man who would be able to give you the door key provided the owners knew you were coming in advance.

What is your budget and do you want a hotel close to the airport or in the city centro?

I would recommend Hotel Europa in the Colonial Zone, and to book it online. We got a much better rate on hotels.com than by calling the hotel.

I wouldn't necessarily trust smaller hotels without a reception open all night. I remember at least one that the only way to get in was to ring on the intercom and hope the owner will hear you, or call the owners's cell phone. This was a very highly rated hotel. No watch man, next to a police station so I guess the owners thought they weren't at risk of beak ins.

There's a Quality Inn a few miles away. I stayed there one night I got there really late. It's decent...actually better than most Quality Inns I've seen in The US.

Thanks for the responses. I think i have decided on Hotel Palacio in the colonial zone. I got a good rate on Expedia, so I'll stay
there for 5 nights (w/my boyfriend). Does anyone have personal experience staying at the Palacio? Good room to request?
