you're a bit stubborn, aren't you? 3 months before elections means campaigning, promotion and preparation for elections. not much of importance gets done during that period of time.

Good Catch... If a Majority of the businesses on the strip want it, and it was a good plan, and the good Mayor has full support now, what would keep her from Re Implementing the closing of the street . Seems like it would make everyone Happy , No ?

She does not have the final say. Council does and those 7 people voted to have the street reopened because Jose for the Photo Place is head of council and he wanted it reopened.
By the way, we got the pavement work re-started on the other side of the street, just before the election (it was suppose to finish before election day but never did due to rain) - the cynics then said that was because that would look good for the incumbent mayor.
So some things can be done, but not others.
And his business that is not even open at night, correct?
