I know people fly from Atlanta but what about connecting flights (not neccessarily from Toronto) but are there connections smooth or is it like Miami where you have to run for dear life to get to the other end of the f'ing airport. There is about 2 hours connection time, plenty of time ?

Atlanta is a cool airport....it still has a smoking area :D:bunny::bunny:

i've had a layover in Atlanta twice in the last year. in fact my next 2 trips go thru Atlanta.

in my experience the connections are on time and smooth as silk. 2 hours is plenty of time.

when i fly thru newark most of my layover times are well under an hour:surprised:surprised:surprised

Got back lateeeeeeeeeee last night but I prefered connecting through Atlanta 100000000000000000000000000000% better than Miami.

Deltas a good airline, however I almost had a heart attack at the size of the plane in toronto - atlanta (small little thing)...

The airport in Atlanta is pretty quick to get through but advice is to hold on tight when taking the train that takes you from gate to gate (I learned the hard way lol)

I liked the fact that once in Atlanta I didn't have to go through the whole security check process like in Miami ... I just went directly to my next gate, the staff in general in ATL are way more friendlier than in Miami.

That's my 10 pesos on delta and ATL ... now I'm going to go pass out.

Amen to that

Atlanta is soooo much easier than Miami. Will avoid the Miami airport whenever possible.

True, but.....

Coming back from international destinations (Canada and Mexico, not included), I MUST go through the customs and security check deal in Atlanta as well.

But 1000% agree, Atlanta is a much better airport to connect out of than Miami. And Delta is great to fly.

My last 3 trips, I had done connections in Atlanta airport, and it is a wonder. It is very easy to switch from gate to gate or terminal to terminal... Normally, my flight arrive from NJ on Terminal A or B, then I just go down, take the train to Terminal E (where International Departing usually is) and done. It will probaly takes no more than 15 minutes.

On the way back, when you arribve (from International Destinations), you have to do Customs, but it has not taken me more than 45 minutes to do Customs, pick up baggages, then drop them back, and arrive to the next gate.

My last experience was on April 30th, coming from Cancun, Mexico to Newark. We arrived at 4:10pm and by 5:10pm we were at the next gate (we took longer because our Gate was not ready - another plane was late and was at our gate - so we sit on the plane for 25 minutes, then everything was quick, oh before I forget, also at immigration we have like 3 other planes arriving at the same time)..

Final Opinion: ATLANTA 100% over Miami..
