American Airlines to start Fort Lauderdale to Santo Domingo

American airlines to start again this route from December 2007.

Now they going to compete with Spirit and Delta.

Well, their fares MUST be lower than Spirit's...let's see what they come up with!!!

Muscqueen...sometimes it's not about low prices, some passengers, like me, look for easy connection points, so if I can fly LAS-FLL, SLC-FLL, or somewhere else on the west to FLL, and then connect with AA, my bags will be checked to my final destination, and I will be able to get my boarding pass printed at the check-in counter for my first flight. That's one of the problems with spirit: you have to claim baggage, walk to terminal 4, re-check them, get your boarding pass,and get through security again , and FLL makes it worst when you have to go through customs. Hopefully they schedule the flight after 6 p.m. so we (travelers from the west) can connect in FLL again, since delta's flight it's too early.

My friend booked a flight on Delta from Ft. Laud. to SD for $269 RT all taxes included. This was a few days ago.

I can't find FLL-SDQ, 10/16/07 on KVS or Expert Flyer anymore... Delta's website says "No results".
