know who lives up there, they started charging the girls
more money if they wanted to be released the same night
once arrested.

They are doing this for two different reasons. One,
they want to deter the girls from coming in for the weekend
from other towns/ cities to ply their trade and Two, its an
opportunity for the local PN to make more money because at
the end of the day... its just business.

Unless that's changed in the last week or two(which I doubt), you're right. The chicas pay 500 pesos not to spend the night.

3-4 a NIGHT? I don’t think that’s by any means the “norm”. Maybe (if their lucky) 3-4 a week. (Like a normal married couple. Although the last year I was married it was down to 3-4 times a year!) (;-)

DR pesos: 2000 per client x 4 clients a night = 8000 pesos.
8000 pesos/night x 5 nights a week = 40,000 pesos a week.
40,000 pesos a week x 4 = 160,000 pesos a month! (I believe the minimum wage in the DR is around 10,000 pesos/ month).
160,000 pesos a month x 12 months = 1,920,000 pesos a year!

Again, I’d be very surprised (but impressed) if that’s even close to accurate.
