What is the actual location for the new Ritz Carlton Cabarete?

With a variance given to build 7 floors, it will get done. I don't see anything stopping this.
Windy, you might want to consider the impact the virus will have on world economics. That's, I suppose, what management is discussing right now.

Of course there is a current viral situation. It may delay development, or it may not. Some have said work is proceeding.

Short term, sure. But I predict that there will be a huge pent up demand next High Season.
This virus will be well behind us.

And I wrote in another thread that Marriott is currently laying off tens of thousands of workers right now.

I doubt we will see much of anything on the new deals soon.

The new Gansevoort will open first no doubt.

So they have stopped work in Cabarete on the W and the Ritz?

Yes. No movement of dirt for at least two weeks. No trucks and flatbeds clogging the Carratera. That has to stall now for at least 6 months. Offshore investment is deemed expendable in these times depending how deeply they are in.

A like is not enough. I give you a HUG, no matter what the gov says

Or it will stall for the time the DR is on "shutdown" . Time will tell.

It is nice for the time being, like China or Venice, 25% less pollution.

If this goes really bad, it will solve the Climate Crisis, ehh not Ritz. Did not mean that.

That spot on the peninsula is a perfect site for a dog shelter.

I have a sinking feeling that large corporate backed hotels are not the wave of the future.

Now there is a thought that never crossed my mind.

I have a sinking feeling that large corporate backed hotels are not the wave of the future.

The Ritz Carlton Reserve is not a large corporate hotel. It is a boutique hotel for the 1%ers
