Agreed on both points. All social distancing did was guarantee another wave. Luis Abinader and his wife have tested positive for CV19:

I read about that in Spanish today, but you can use Google Translate if you don't speak the language.
More of the same. "Famous" people with a Covid story. One really has to wonder. Like Tom Hanks and his wife.

I'm hearing 10 more days.
The person who shared this
info with me owns a grocery
store here in Santiago. He was
told this by the PN. We'll find out
tomorrow.

Another 10 days of the PLD emergency funding money grab before they have to exist stage left in August

That famous person, Luis Abinader, is most likely to be the next president of the DR, but you might have missed that detail.

A bit more significant than a Tom Hanks in the local scheme, and I do mean scheme, of things.

What does one have to wonder about?

Again, Winded Guy, I think I have the system covered. I appreciate you letting me know who Luis Abinader Is. You obviously misread my post. FYI interviewed with Jose Rafael (father) for a consulting role in the school he owned in Santo Domingo back in 2008.

Thanks again for tricks and tips on Dr from Cab!

My pleasure. Just being sure, since your comment about another famous person story was not clear to me.

Admittedly, it is like dealing with a stream of consciousness thinker. Difficult at times to find the meaning.

Let's see what happens tomorrow for those of us concerned with legal issues like what can be done next.

I know two people still struggling to make it back to the DR after being stranded out of the country for months.

I was at a beach today - it has regular use - the Police never come near it - the guard told me

can't give more details... privileged data......secret sources

but , generally, yes... the lesser communities are back to normal

I passed Magante y'day.... little bars and casetas open as usual - at he beach

Go up in the hills and tell me they lock up at 7PM.....
Sure - if the area has a profile - public.... you're stung

another reason not to live in tourist areas

Well the post above jinxed the deal.....

The police raided that beach y'day afternoon.....took a lot of people away

They had a combo drug/beach sweep.....lots of jailbirds locked up

Big news in Cabrera........

Honestly I had ramped up my forum activity during this pandemic. No where near cracking point though. Why would you say that. You're the one with the false posts lol. Btw I batted that one down for you out of my heart.

Imagine spending a couple of nights in a DR jail because you were at the beach.

Illegally.

I guess it can still happen, at least until June 14.

They have done same thing here where i live in Santiago recently. Its a great way for our local PN to make a few extra pesos while the opportunity last. Arrested at lunch time and out (after paying a small fee) in time for dinner.
