If people are back at work and earning normally, it shouldn't be necessary. How do you feel about another curfew?

Well thats what they did. They opened the border for visitors and I don’t think they can reverse that. and honestly I don’t think there will be a lot of tourism either way and less from Europe than before anyway.U
unless u ban countries that are out of control majority of people won’t come no matter how safe politicians say DR is ... majority of people aren’t stupid no matter what a leader of country says... this is Slow time John why risk allowing out of control countries in to make matters worse right now...what a waist of 3 months of quarantine to ruin it in a month of foreign travellers from trouble spots in slow time.. short term gains long term losses

They warn there are no ventilators or ICU for COVID-19 patients in Dominican hospitals
<p> SANTO DOMINGO.- The President of the Dominican Society of Family and Community Medicine warned this Sunday that the hospital system of the Dominican Republic is already collapsed due to the increase in the spread of the coronavirus. Dr. Francisca Moronta assured that currently the hospital...dominicantoday.com
Seems that would be natural and appropriate for NYC to help the DR if they have surplus resources now for combatting Covid-19. With all the Dominicans living there and with family here and many of the Americans who will be coming here visiting are from NYC.Wait a minute, I am looking at the Statistical Analysis prepared by Guzman. On July 3 there were 191 cases in Intensive care. On June 29 there were 207 cases. Presumably this means there are at least 16 beds available? - see the chart Distribucion per tipo de aislamiento. Plus they can open more beds for covid-19 patients, cant they not? with of course the limitations due to lack of specialized equipment. Isnt NYC ready to sell/give/loan some???
🤣Unlike you emotionally driven beta males, some of us realize that death is inevitable and the only true destiny in life. We accept this fact and move on.
I’m betting you’re of old age, one of those idiots who think they still hold relevance even though you’ve passed the age of 60 and has no real use anymore in society other than becoming fertilizer. This virus is for people exactly like you.
So, stay locked in your bunker as those of us who have zero symptoms and healthy carriers continue with life as evolution wants us to as it cuts out the weaker, useless of our society as it’s mean to. 😉
We are still in the first wave of virus. Let us check back in a year or so.Not everyone failed my friend... Canada doing great..to bad strongest country in the world blew it so bad over politics!
When Abinader wins today, virtually every government employee will cease working. If they ever did work. The government will start up slowly in mid August after they replace most every government employee after 16 years of the PLD. Cool, eh?My question is -
Suppose the governing party changes - it will be a few weeks before they assume office
Who decides and legislates until then?
How does a 'Lame Duck' govt govern?.......in times like this where decisions are necessary

It was reported back in beginning of March two strains...We are still in the first wave of virus. Let us check back in a year or so.
Watching CDN now and the PRM is almost sweeeeeeeeeping out the PLD if things stay as the early results of the election show.
A runner at the bottom of the screen said that Italy now has two distinct Coronavirus strains. So the vaccine guys can work twice as hard to come up with the first effective vaccine against a coronavirus.
That brings up a point why aren’t they testing which strain is prevalent and where? One is aggressive one isn’t...It was reported back in beginning of March two strains...
Huge drop in the amount of cases yesterday!

The caraterra was clogged with 4 lanes of cars and people going every direction at 5pm. Miles and miles of caravaning hordes celebrating the SE VAN. People packed in nuts to butts in trucks, cars and the sidewalks and on the roads. The election is over. The numbers will decrease now.
Dominicans are ready to move on with their lives, and are. Especially this one, who already has.
The only ones truly worrying any longer are those expatriates within "Everything _________ " communities, with pre-existing conditions.
They should remain at home, wherever it is they choose to call home.
