With all this drama from those who are truly in a state of panic over this situation, the RD government is not keeping you here.
Airports are open. Flights are leaving. You may depart to the safe space of your choosing, at the time you wish, if you do indeed really feel that your life is in jeopardy. Aside from that, the rest is drama queen fluff.

The reality of the situation remains that most people who fall sick with COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and recover without special treatment.

most of whom were > 85; had diabetes, or were overweight.
Things are changing :(
In the past two weeks, the age group driving the increase in cases is between 20- and 39-years-old, Tam said, with almost one-third of them ending up hospitalized ...

When people make up their mind about something it seems nothing can sway that perspective. The same thing repeated again and again. Yes younger people do get CV19. Yes the do spread it to others, yes they can get very ill and yes some even die. It will take awhile for the number of younger deaths to catch up to those in the older weaker population but given time, the proportions will even out. It's the younger crowd who are driving this current wave of infections. The older folks are staying at home as best they can and limiting their family members to potential exposure so these people do not bring it into the home.

Read about some young man who ignored his parents request not to attend a party. He went anyways, got sick an gave the illness to his diabetic father who is now clinging to life in hospital. Mom should have said, Johnny if you go to that party, don't come home. find somewhere else to live for 14 days.

We desperately need to flatten this new runaway curve by any and all means possible. Yet, some do not see this with the same importance that I do.

My assertion was directed towards those that have been providing us with hourly updates in regards to the Chinese Virus, and their fears/outward projections related to such. No different in regards to an approaching storm/hurricane. Is the responsible manner to sit at a keyboard and type, "the storm is coming, the storm is coming"? Or is it better to either prepare yourself, and if unable to properly do so, move yourself out of the path of said storm?

In regards to the state of the RD health care system, I was once one of the staunchest critics of it, right here on DR1. I still am.
My postings regarding such, were summarily dismissed and heckled by many within this community. I do not see any of those hecklers currently posting.

If you do indeed really feel that your life is in jeopardy, why not put yourself in the best position to save your life?

Can you please also provide the link showing how many of these cases between 20- and 39-years-old are resulting in fatalities?
I can't seem to find it within this report.

If it is no big deal how come you posted that you got tested not once, but twice?

You have been away for a while, let me catch you up to speed. I have been tested four times, all negative.
Only once with supposed symptoms, and that turned out to be....good old fashioned gripe. Here and gone in 4 days.
Why? Out of a responsibility I feel I owe to my employees, and their families, if they are going to be working for me during this time period.

Did people not investigate the health care systems here within RD before they decided to relocate within?
While blame should and must be place on the RD government and medical system overseers, what is to be said of those expatriates who either did not investigate/prepare carefully, or simply looked the other way?
