Interesting.
It looks difficult to make comparisons with the DR and other countries with similar population numbers.
The DR has a sizable percent of the population at age 24 or younger and most Dominicans live in cities.

There are many more variables than I originally imagined.
The DR has a large percent of its population age 24 or younger.
Most Dominicans live in cities.
Both these factors raise the likelihood of spread based upon the experiences of other countries.
If we compare the DR numbers to other countries with older average populations and most living in the country it makes the comparison invalid and will make the DR look as though it is not dealing effectively with the epidemic.
Using population numbers alone it is impossible to say the DR is doing well in their response to the virus.
It is far more complicated with a ton of variables.
I am left with hoping the DR is doing well but no factual basis for support.
I think that is called wishful thinking.

With such a young population the RD should be having a low death rate.

One thing that stands out is the death rate to infections of the major countries on this map. The DR clearly leads this pack at less than 2%, That tells me that the treatment here is better than any other popoulous country on this chart. So you have a better chance of survival here.

Pandemic experts say the behavior of younger people is the problem.
They simply refuse to take the medical guidelines seriously and are directly responsible for a great deal of disease spread.
Does the fact that they may be safer from serious illness contribute to irresponsible careless behavior, who knows?

Medical guidelines, it has become obvious to most people by now, don't stop a disease like CV19. It is here, there and everywhere to stay.

Yeah. very few countries have gone for elimination. It has always been about capping the spread to avoid overwhelming the countries health service which would be catastrophic. We will have to continue on the same bumpy path for a bit.

There was supposedly a big fatal spread anticipated several months ago, up along the northern tier, with the fella and his flock traveling nationwide to the sea.
Nothing more became of that episode.
Why are persons still hiding?
Open the nation.
Scared persons stay home.

Outside in free air the virus spread is not that contagious, reports and investigations from other countries confirms.

It is inside in closed spaces for a prolonged time ( e.g > 10 minutes) that is partically problematic for virus spread I read.

What’s stopping you go party!

I do, and have been, according to the limits/restrictions established here in RD over this seven month period of time.
How about you?
No huge secret that I would like them to be done away with, and for me it is not due to a business module.
I want people to be free to lives their lives, as they so see fit.
This includes without a mask on, unless of course, it is costume party.
